Tried em, unfortunately you have to be aged between 30 and 74. Thats probably why they can offer such good prices, theres no young scallywags like me pushing the prices up!!

Just a little add too, when you go on the website there is also a bike quote option. If like me you are also into your bikes, they do a very similar policy to the car one. As long as the bikes are 1988 or before they can offer classic status. I have a \'79 Suzuki GS550 and an \'88 Kawasaki ZX10, unlimited mileage fully comp. £120 for the pair, including UK and Euro recovery ( an absolute essential with a bike, as even a puncture will mean recovery!).
I have been with Carole Nash for 12yrs and their renewal was £53 more for TPFT!
Great find Alan.

Time to change my insurance company. Adrian Flux insured me this last
year with an agreed value policy £2500 and 6000 miles cover. Price was
reasonable although not probably the best @ 125 fully comp.. Just had
my renewal and its gone up £60!
Now what was that web address??
P.S. Just got back from a lovely weeks holiday in North Yorks, near
Pickering. Unlikely I\'ll be up that way for the nationals though sadly..

I noticed on the Peter James website that the T2000 Register isnt mentioned on his list of clubs, but the TSSC is...

Has anyone managed to get a discount with the T2000 Register?

The difference between my 2000 being not in a club against being in the TSSC was £117 against £83, quite a saving - probably at least as much as a years membership!

Regards

Gavin
We have a problem with this Gavin.
I looked into getting a club approved scheme set up a few years ago. The problem is, that by doing this, ie recommending an insurance company (as a club that is) we need to be IFA regulated (Independant Financial Authority) as we are effectivly giving out financial services based advice!
Red tape gone mad!
Quite how other clubs get round this...I don\'t know, whether its because we are a Ltd company as apposed to a private club?.......

I\'ve still got to contact my Adrian Flux today as i noticed that the quote contains no mention of my 5 years NCB. This might well account for the sharp rise in price. I\'ve also contacted Peter James, as my car is used primarily for commuting although this last year I\'ve only covered just over 4000 miles. Obviously their policies are aimed generally at users where the insured vehicle is a second vehicle for occasional use. We\'ll see what the outcome is.

Regards

Gavin
Just had a call from Peter James to say that they will give me the commuting as part of my cover for no extra cost...

Result! Now its just a case of seeing of Adrian Flux will bring their price down or not.

Regards

Gavin
It\'s often the case that companies will bring down their price to match other companies but the question is \"Why did they quote excessively in the first place?\".
I never give by custom to a company purely on their price-matching, even if this means some inconvenience to myself in changing companies. If they ride on the backs of others instead of quoting a fair price in the first place, they don\'t deserve the business.
I\'ve been insured with Adrian Flux for about 12 years and have been fairly pleased with their service, however I won\'t hesitate to change to someone who quotes a worthwhile amount less when the renewal time comes whether or not price-matching is offered.
