Hi All,
I thought I would let you all know about a new Classic Insurance company out there who seem to be making a big hit with lots of Triumph owners.
Peter James Insurance (Tel 0845 0999 500) www.peterjamesinsurance.co.uk
Peter James used to be the James part of Footman James until recently, and he has now set up on his own.
I always used to use Peter Best, paying about £120 - £140 per year for agreed value, limited mileage policies for the S Estate, Stag and Sam\'s Moggie Woodie.
I have just taken up a Multi Car policy with Peter James for the following;
MKII PI Agreed Value £12k
S Estate Agreed Value £6k
Stag Agreed Value £10k
Moggie Agreed Value £7k
All on UNLIMITED mileage, including free UK and Eurpean Breakdown and Recovery cover, on one policy for £289............
How good is that???
Highly recommended to all.............

Trust me, the car is stunning.
Alan\'s claims about Peter James Insurance are well founded.
I was paying £105 to insure my saloon, and was quoted an additional £140 to insure my estate. There was a limit of 3000 miles per annum.
PJ quoted £113 to insure BOTH cars, unlimited mileage and with occasional commuting use thrown in. The only condition is that I own another everyday car.
A sensible insurance company? Whatever next?

That seems a very good deal, i just insured mine with limited mileage the wife as a named driver and it was £110 a year with lancaster insurance. Which is still a brilliant price compared to modern cars.
So straight through a mot 12 months free road tax and £110 a year insurance could there be a better reason for owning a classic!

I wouldn\'t be surprised if I end up with Peter James this year.

I\'ve been with Footman James (via the TSSC) for as long as I can remember. When I first started with them in the mid 1980s FJ were top notch. For various reasons I don\'t feel that way about them now

This year I paid £380 to insure the Spitfire 2500 (agreed value £11,750) and the Saloon (nominal £1k value, it\'s a bit tatty at the edges) both unlimited mileage.

Based on Alan\'s experience it looks like I should be able to get a much better deal with Peter James.

Cheers,

Bill
Sounds good,
My 2500s is with Adrian Flux and that costs me £300 TPFT. Mind you I am 23 and only have 3 years NCB.
Worth a try y\'think?

I would, nothing to loose!
£300 does sound a bit steep for 3rd party, but like you say, your age is against you.
Go online www.peterjamesinsurance.co.uk you can get a quote in minutes there.......
