Having charitable status brings in ALL sorts of extra problems, paperwork, controls and limitations. The work needed would require there to be one board person dedicated to dealing with it ......... and the Register has enough trouble getting enough people to step up and do their bit as it is.docwad wrote:following on from phil wardles post
Is the register a charity?
If not could it have a charitable section to allow donations or bequests etc into it thus allowing reclamation of basic rate tax (from tax payers) to aid funding of potentially large project such as lloyd is working on.
If such an option were available i for one would be willing to stump up some cash.
