The wind noise coming from the door areas - quarter lights, door windows, maybe door rubbers? is quite heavy, especially compared to modern cars.
What would be suggested to try to improve this? Does anyone have favourable experiences with other / new type of door rubbers or side glass rubbers / channels?

I had this problem very badly on the drivers door. So I went to my friendly garage man and he adjusted the doors correctly and a major part of the noise vanished. (I have tried many times but could never get the gap right). He did it within 2 minutes.
The second cause of noise is wear on the locking catch for the 1/4 lights. This means that the window does not shut firmly against the rubbers. As it seems to be a casting, I have never dared to try and bend it. When I push the rear of the quarter light aginst the rubber the noise is down to zero. I don\'t know how you can change the position of this catch.

I have changed rubbers on my other Triumphs and from the noise point of view there was no improvment.

I have, locked away in my teasure chest, a brand new catch (the bit that moves with the little button on it!)
I wondered if it would be any use one day.................

Anyone interested?

Alan,
I think the other bit is the main culprit.
But you may be right.
It\'s the other bit that I have never dared to bend or touch.
I have 4 complete doors in the garage blocking the way, I will have a look, when I get some time. Why are they there? because I think it\'s a shame to throw them away.
