How many MK1s still on the road?

#1 Post by andyborris »

I reckon the MK1 is a very rare car now, anyone know how many are still roadworthy?

Manual ones, like yours seem rare Andy, but autos are quite common, and as for those mk1 PIs in auto eh Lee?

Not sure if you can count my car as one of the "rare manual" ones, it's a bitsa (MK2 drivetrain!) so may have started life as a auto.

Was wondering 'cos I see lots Astons and other such stuff while working (I'm a truck driver), but have only ever seen one MK1 in about 15 years!
And it looked like a Rally Rep, it was motoring too!
