Had the first significant couple of inches this morning, but work (5 miles down the road) is completely clear. We really haven't had much at all here in Chester, just very cold until today.

You call that snow??? Come on,ask Les up in Peterhead how real snow looks!! I've been working outside in 9" today, and will be all week, and travelling lots of miles in it too.You would think half the drivers on the roads have never seen this white stuff ,judging by the way they "conga line " down one motorway lane! We all have rear wheel drive cars, nothing better than "hanging the tail out"and looking ahead via the side windows. :) :) It Doesn't half make the gardens look nice and tidy, all the same!! BRING IT ON

Ken,if things go your way, this should be the last you see of the stuff!Hope all is panning out all right for you,see you soon,Bill.

P.S.-A Guid New year tae a'body!!!! I hope it's a good one for everyone out there.

Well, further to my last statement, we have now had about 7 or 8 inches of the stuff. Just had a load of fun in the garden building a snowman, snowball fights and sledging - haven't done that for years. :)

We had about 7'' too, it was not even snowing when I arrived at work, by the time I went home it was a white out.
The estate coped admirably, much better than a lot of the other modern rear wheel drive cars stuck at work!
Who says you cant use 'our' cars all year round?

Not so much here. Had about 2 inches this morning, then another couple this evening............. so not alot really.

Still, all the schools are closed, roads are chaos...... full of idiotic people who don't know how to drive in snow........ Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!

More forecast for tonight......... see what the morning brings!
