I see Earlpart carpets got a good mention in SixAppeal. They are quite a lot cheaper than Rimmers - are they good?

Hello Clifford
The Earlpart carpets that I mentioned in Six Appeal are super quality and I would reccomend them. Everything is included and a good trimmer would make a really nice job of it. The \'cut\', ie the shape of the pieces is different to original though, but they look ok. I also have Earlpart carpets in the boot of my MK2 estate, again, nice quality

Good carpet sets are manufactured in New Zealand. You could import them.
We have purchased both blue and red sets. Sing out if you want a contact address or ph number.

I have ordered a set of carpets from Rimmers ... and have had them
shipped to the United States. Can I expert significant problems fitting
them. Should I send back and start all over again?

I have not seen the carpets as my Mk II is being restored 1,000 miles
away. Should I warn the body shop doing all my work?

Stephen,
My own poor carpet was bought from Rimmers seven years ago. Hopefully they have got rid of that stock and now have better quality. But maybe they haven\'t.
I\'d warn your bodyshop to take a good look at the quality of the carpets and try them loosely in place in the car to see how they fit. They should be able to make a judgement within a few minutes and can then advise you as to whether to keep them or return them.
David.
