Stoneleigh was my first ever Triumph show - when I lived in the UK I used to love it! Lots of bargains to be had.

There's a real buzz at Stoneleigh - I reckon it should be called "Springtime for Triumphs" - suddenly everyone comes out of their winter doldrums and those who aren't all-year-rounders start thinking about driving again!

... those ramps look very interesting!

I wouldn't have recognised him if he had been there, but I did see you Lee, as you know.

So what did everybody who went, think of it then, was it as good as years gone by, what did people buy?

Luckily, my mate from the TSSC, gareth, had his back seats down and I went mad with buying bits.
New rear bumper centre section from a fella on the TSOC, dizzy for the mk1 p.i. lump in the garage, new rubber rear subframe mounts, chrome GB badges for easter, and possibly the biggest indulgence, a set of MOMO vega alloys (GOOGLE image search will show pics), that like my car, have loads of potential!
I enjoyed the day very much, and found the whole thing of not having to sift through loads of MG and Ford gear, very refreshing:lol:

Cheers Colin.

It was better in previous years when they used the new hall. The hall with the sales stands in had a definate pong of cattle about it (I know it is an agricultural showground). Parking was a bit disorganised and no signs to show that the entrance was through the old hall and not the new one as in previous years. The halls were cold as well. Catering not brilliant. Got a few bargains, though, bumped into a few people for a chat and we were in the area for the weekend in any case. Thought overall it was a bit quiet compared to previous and there weren't as many cars to look at.

Weather coming home was just appalling - a full-on blizzard at about Banbury on the M40! Glad we had the modern car and not one of the Triumphs.

Well 4th year I have been and although a good representation of all clubs and some lovely cars (esp Slate Grey mk1 pi on TSOC),I also agree was better when in the main hall.I never thawed out all day except when I had my packed lunch (learnt of prices from first visit,Colin............ :D ..........ps nice bumping into you) and as I had taken Frank AShtons aussie 2500 tc down to show was bewildered were to gain entrance. Also the non Triumph parking was hit and miss, with cars scattered everywhere and I feel that if this is to be a common practice will put people off from going...................it will me.
