Re: Clutch Judder
They won't last at all. The cheap repro ones (where ever you get them) have a life expectancy measured in hours.
Go to Chris Witor, buy the proper ones and you'll be fine.

These are a brand new to the market item from a German supplier with a track record of producing quality items.
I do find these sweeping statements made about quality issues annoying.
What do I know?

Re: Clutch Judder
Fair enough, I hope these are better than the traditional repro ones we have all suffered with over the years.
If you have got a supply of good quality ones at a decent price, why don't you tell us?! Been lots of discussion on here and CT forum about engine mounts lasting one trip, but if we don't know about better ones........?
I would place an advert in SIXappeal and tell us all about these, I bet you would be inundated with orders!!!

Re repro engine mounts
As I was not sure if engine mounts were a problem, I opted for the cheap ones because of the massive price difference £14 opposed to £70
I have found Canley classic's to supply generally good quality parts.

Re: Clutch Judder
Contrary to 'popular wisdom' , shortly after buying the estate we got some 'cheap' mounts from the brothers. 40k miles later they are still on the car going strong and HOE has never had a very pampered life with us.
You were so busted Alan, fancy forgetting Dave frequents this forum
£14 a pair seems like a steal Dave, is the cheapness hampering sales , are people going to assume they must be poor due to the price?

Re: Clutch Judder
Also Dave, how are these German manufacturers with making big saloon gearbox mounts or are the engine mounts a more generic item that just happens to fit a big saloon?

you are simply selling them too cheap - make them £40 each, and everyone will know that they are a quality item

Re: Clutch Judder
That's the mistake I made, too cheap to be any good.
Rack up the price Dave, after I've bought a few sets!!!
