Hi All
Just bought my first Triumph. A 1977 2500 S manual with overdrive.
Its in great condition for its age and runs very well. Its a very unusual metallic silver gold colour, I have only seen one other this colour and cannot so far find what colour is called?
I have fond memories of my Dad owning a 1972 2.5PI from new. He sold it in 1976 and I was pretty upset to see it go.
cheers

Hi Keith,
Welcome to the Register forum!
Your 'S' looks in good order. The colour is certainly not one seen in here in the UK - no Triumph 2000 /2500's were finished in metallic colours from the factory. Is yours the original paint (a quick check of areas not normally seen except by lifting carpets / removing trim should confirm whether its the original paint)?
Good 'S' models are becoming scarce in the UK, as they are the most prone to corrosion, as we don't quite have the climate you have!
John.

Thanks John
It is the original colour, the floor and boot areas are the same and original, not a respray. Theres another one in Tasmania that is the same colour.
I think the last run of cars were available in metalic colours as an option, Mine is one of the last built here in 77. It has dealer installed aircon and optional power steering.
cheers
