I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to find the correct wheel offset, PCD and centre bore (or doesn't that matter?) for a 1971 model 2500.
PCD seems to be 4 x 114.3mm going by this post viewtopic.php?f=32&t=1704&hilit=offset ; but what is the stock offset..... and what sort of offset / width / tyre size can you get away with in 14" and 15" rims?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
(I'll hopefully be picking up a 2500 in the near future. It's got a different (3.3l 6 cyl) engine fitted with a 5 speed manual gearbox.)
Did someone drop a Commodore motor and 'box in ? Thats interesting. Any possibility of a pic?Standard rims are 5 or 5 1/2 inch J. Tyres were 185x13 or the later S models were 14 inch mags. you are right about the P C D . 4 1/2 inches.
I'd suggest you try to find a set of these, gives you much better tyre options.
Most early Jap rear wheel drive rims will fit. I've used 14'' Mitsi Sigma ones in the past.They look quite tidy if you can't find any S ones.
I in NZ hence the interest in the Holden option!

It's actually a red 202 engine (I think they're around HQ Holden vintage?) with a Celica (or possibly Supra?) gear box. All approved and legal. I'm a bit vague on the details because I haven't actually had a close look over the vehicle. Don't have any pics either sorry- it belongs to a relative.
The same gentleman who did this conversion also did an earlier Triumph 2000 with a Holden 161 6 cylinder in it.
Thanks for the additional wheel info. I've heard Nissan Bluebird (RWD?) rims will also fit, so I'm guessing Datsun Stanza rims would also? (The reason I'm asking is there's a Yank website that lists wheels options and specs for a Stanza, but doesn't list Bluebirds. I doubt Sigmas will be listed either.)

My sprint car runs R spec 205/50 x15 or 225/50 x 15 (hard to get now) - these sit on 7 x 15 Minilites with ET20 which is too close for comfort without arch mods.
I have 7 x 15 8 Spoke Superlites that with 195/60 x 15 Dunlops on my PI estate - Just fit - they have an offset of ET25mm - which I think is actually "inset" if you know what I mean. ET25mm is better - otherwise arch get very close with taller tyres.
Datsun 240Z - Nissan 180SX?? etc all fit so the choice is pretty huge
I run 195/65 x 15 Michelin on my everyday car on 6 x 15 Minilites and that is perfect for a road car - very common tyre with Euro boxes so you can get really good modern tyres that suit the Triumph independent suspension.
Hi Andy- thanks for the info, that's exactly what I was after. I've been reading a bit about your 2500- I like your brake upgrade.
Ideally are the 2500's supposed to have the wheel centre bore exactly the right size for the hub? (Like later model vehicles; and if so, any idea what size it is?)
The stock 1971 2500 tyre size (going by the service manual I bought) is 185SR13 or 185HR13? I take it the "S" and "H" are simply the speed rating and the profile is 80 series from what I can work out?

Non of my wheels locate on the hub as a spigot except the white PI which has had front spacers machined to locate the wheel - wish they all had this - might cure some of the wheel wobble issues that can happen
Spigots location is now accepted practice - not so for any 2000/2500
Thanks once again. I was concerned about the centre bore, but thought it mightn't be a worry on older vehicles.
I plugged some figure into a tyre diameter calculator and for 15" 205/60R15 is the closest match with only 0.2km/h speedo error at 100km/h (compared to the stock 185/80R13.)

This was my old Pi with 205/60 15 Dunlops and 7 x 15 Compomotive Minilites (ET20) . The arches needed rolling for these
