Due to new-born Triumph fan, I need to look at how to hold the little fella down in the back of my 25S (RHU301S)! I\'ve seen standard fixed length belts available from Chris Witor and others, but with the car seat issue now upon me, I\'d very much like to fit inertia reel seatbelts but have\'nt seen anyone offering this option. Has anybody else fitted inertia reel seat belts and if so, where from/any problems etc??
Cheers Ade Bristol.
Rear Seatbelts?
Hi Adrian
I have just fitted a pair of seatbelts to my 2000 saloon. I managed to get hold of some old Britax inertia reel belts at a show but wasn\'t sure wether to use them or not. I deciced to buy some Securon ones from a local supplier but these didn\'t fit using the standard fixing points on the drivers side. The mechanisms are handed and there isn\'t enough space, although one fits on the passenger side ok. I ended up fitting the Britax ones and modding the fixings
I have seen the same make of belts fitted more towards the center of the parcel shelf but couldn\'t do this on my car as I have speakers fitted.
Another problem you may find is that the belts are a bit short to fit around the babyseat.
Hope this helps.
