All the models in the 2000 / 2500 range have wipers that self park.
Someone else will have more knowledge about this issue than myself, but I believe it is a relatively easy fix.

The wiper motor has three connections:
Black wire = Earth
Brown/Green wire = switch
Green wire which is always live when the ignition is on.This triggers the self-parking, so the most likely faults are either that this wire is disconnected, or that the sliding position switch on the motor end of the wiper flexible drive is not making contact.
If you remove the metal cover you can see the mechanism. The sliding switch has rather flimsy contacts, and the most likely thing is that they need bending a bit so that they make electrical contact with the rotating contact on the crank wheel.
From memory I think you can run it with the cover off and watch what happens.
I think there is a means of adjustment so that the wipers stop at the right point.
