One of the suspension legs on my 2.5S ESTATE is siezed. Can I replace both legs complete, with two TRIUMPH 2000 legs which have MONROE inserts and are in good condition?
How will this affect the handling?
Thank you,

As far as I know the suspension legs are the same on most of the 2000 range apart from some early ones that do not have a D shaped spring platform, they are round and the tyre could foul. The monroe shocks will give a slightly firmer ride if they are of the same type I had fitted to my car, Might also be worth changing the springs for stiffer ones if you want improved handling.
Hope this helps.

S Suspension is very soggy and soft (hence comfortable but handles like a pig)
2000 springs are harder but will sit lower due to much heavier front weight in your S over a 2000 (2.5 crank and block, power steering etc).
Suggest you either keep your springs or replace them with either a pair of Mr Witor\'s best or cheaper option is to fit Pre-facelift PI springs (MKII 1969-1973) which are about 1 inch lower and harder and will make it go round corners.
Remember that if you change the front suspension to firmer you should change the back to similar firmness or it will feel very wierd!

Alan,
From my experience, the S estate should have harder 130 Lb springs rather than the Zebedee type S saloon springs... They have been on all but one of the S estates that I have broken or worked on.
I really am not sure what was standard on the estate from the factory but the odds say they were specifiedwith harder springs (the soft ones were possibly a Leyland cock up) After all on the rear estate springs were always harder.
