Rare cars you've seen recently

Just for a bit of fun, post any sightings of rare cars you see whilst out and about. Doesnt have to be anything exotic, many cars that were common in the 80's and 90's are few and far between these days.
On the way into work this morning i spied a delightful brown Vauxhall Chevette 3 door. Looked really tidy and was on an A plate which i think must make it one of the very last Shove its?

There's a A-reg VW Polo on a street near ours, the model that looked a bit like a small estate. Not a very interesting car, admittedly, but this one is absolutely mint. It's not a cherished example either, it is kept outside and used every day.
More amazing is that it's red, and hasn't caught "I'd quite like to be pink disease" yet!

That is impressive. My Dad's 2003 Renault is already trying its best to turn pink

There's a Renault 9 Turbo which was knocking around these parts until recently.
There's a booted Chevette just round the corner in daily use, in fair condition.
There is also a daily driver Bristol 411 (ish) which I see regularly.
Finally I occasionally see a Triumph Dolomite 1850 which I am fairly sure is not a cherished classic but is in fact somebody's car which they have always owned from new. It is utterly standard and the only sign of age is oxidised paint.

Bristol 411 as a daily driver........ now THAT is dedication!

There's a few of those around here as well, from Y suffix to D prefix and all looking like 2 or 3 year old cars. We had one (D reg), our first and so far only new car as we usually by pre-registered or ex demo "manager's cars". Both our kids had them as their first cars as well
Ours was Cherry Red - one of those colours that you expect to go pink first time you park it in the sun. We sold ours at 10 years old (got £2000 for it!) and the paintwork was stil like new.
Ann regularly reports seeing a Dolomite in the car park at Tesco - clearly NOT somewhere to park a car that is in any way cherished! It's remarkable how 1980's cars have disappeared - can't remember the last time I saw a Cavalier or a Cortina; Escorts and Sierras are getting rare now and what was that banana shaped Renault? They've disappeared completely

Back when Fuegos were quite new, our local "hyperwash" used to have a sign saying that you shouldn't take them through the wash as the rear wiper was likely to come off!

All Renaults of that period really. When did you last a 5 or a 9? 21's used to be common when i was kid but they have vanished completely now. Once common Talbots and 309's have all but disappeared.

Remember the good old days when carwashes used to give you a long plastic bag to put over your rear wiper?
Back on topic i saw a Cortina Mk3 at lunchtime.
