Having had difficulties getting the off side rear view mirror correctly placed can anyone give me some help.
If I put it on the door where I think it should go, then, either I cannot open the 1/4 light or the window frame is in the way. If I put it on the wing the angle of view is so small that it is usless.
Can anyone tell me what mirror to use and exactly where to put it. In the new Rimmers catalogue there are pictures to help you explain to a dunce like me. Also I like convex mirrors. I do not have any problems with distortion of distance.

Hello Peter,
I use a small mirror on the top front of the drivers door.

Would that suit your needs?

That covers the drivers side but the big problem is the passengers side.

Hello Peter,
you did say off-side which to me is drivers side.
I don\'t have an exterior mirror on the other side, so I\'m not sure if a similar placing would work.

Alec
I thought Off-side was the right hand side. So with a LHD car thats the passengers side. Or otherwise said the side furthest away from the person describing the situation.

Hello Peter,
an obvious case of terminology use.
I have always interpreted it, be the car left or right hand drive, (on the correct side of their respective roads) that the offside is the drivers side and the nearside being the side nearest to the road edge.
