I know Lee, I remember when the budget and timescale for my estate was £10k and 18 months. We're well into double that on both counts and still not finished!!

Jonathan Hancox ( :?: ) methinks... Certainly not me - too afraid of bending or scratching it...
Alan Chatterton wrote:Perhaps, on Rally car stuff, you should talk to Ted Taylor on here........ he seems to be the font of all knowledge where these things are concerned?
Good advice.

Looks like a very interesting project Lee - whilst you obviously do need to check with Kevin, a Six Appeal article would, I'm sure, be very welcome...

Kevin the Editor would bite your arm off for an article and some pictures :!: :!: :!: Lots of interest in historic rallying

Hello Andy

No becuase the Mk 2 is not popular car it had to be a custom made one. They have done a fantastic job and is the strongest part of the car. It has been built to FIA MSA regulations so that is why it is that shape. They had the car for 6 weeks.

I thought i was building a road going car but someone suggested doing rallies in it and there was a sead planted. As i used to rally in the 80s in a MK2 escort. But as i was well deep in finacally and gone well beyond no return. Ie £6000. for a concours car. That doesnt even touch my engine Build. So you can see where in going. If you have seen My TR6 then you know what i mean. I will be glad to put it on stand when its finished.
Any comments or tips By Ted or others will be very welcome.

Wow - A rally car! Looks great Lee. Glad HFG is going to have an interesting future
