Reliant Scimitar (front suspension)
MG Midget 1500 (engine)
Autocars in Israel built various cars of its own design but based on Triumph components, as well as licence-built Triumphs (e.g. 1300)
TVR also used Triumph suspension and driveline elements on the 1970s 2500/3000 models in addition to the 2.5 engine and gearbox on the 2500M. Also possibly the Triumph 3.45 diff on some.

and...

Probably not entirely in the spirit of the question, but I believe that Cooper racing cars used the Herald front suspension upright for some years...

I think we can consider that question well and truly answered now.

Others you could have had were:

Reliant Rebel (Herald front suspension)

Doretti Swallow (Based on TR2)

Rover SD1 (Triumph derived 6 cylinder engines and back axle)

Marina (Dolomite gearbox)

Saab 99 (Slant 4 engine derivative)

Standard Gazelle (This escapes my no-Standards rule as it was produced by Standard Motor Products of India which had by that point become a seperate company)

and then the kit cars: Moss Malvern, Dutton, Gentry, Robin Hood, Latham, Vincent Hurricane and many many more.

Hello Kevin,

the DB6 used the TR6 ones, presumably as the TR5 ones were obsolete?

Another source for TR6 rear light clusters, then! My friend with the TVR3000M always checks his rear lights are still in place after I've seen his car for fear I've switched his lights around.

Apparantly, the same (remanufactured) Michelotti rear light clusters are sold as both TR4/5 parts and Aston Martin parts, but at different prices

Hello Kevin,

"Apparantly, the same (remanufactured) Michelotti rear light clusters are sold as both TR4/5 parts and Aston Martin parts, but at different prices"

I wonder which part was the dearer.

I know from personal experience the cost of Aston Martin spares. I seem to remember a DB5 main bearing shell being about £25, and there are 14 of them! This was about twenty years ago.

Yes, I suppose even original NOS rear light clusters for a TR6 / TVR3000M / DB6 at £180 each side seem cheap for an Aston owner.

When I had a Triumph 1300 as my everyday car (30+ years ago), I went to the local dealer to get a service kit (filters, plugs, points, etc). It was a Jag / Rover / Triumph dealer. Also being served was a chap buying a service kit for a V12 E type. He went away with a crate of parts - I could stuff most of mine in my pockets. My bill was about £4 - his nearer £50.

All relative, I suppose......

Hello Kevin,

"£180 each side seem cheap for an Aston owner"

That may well be for the typical Aston owner, but I wasn't a typical Aston owner.

I was able to fulfil a child hood dream (no, nothing to do with James Bond, my love of Astons pre date him by some way) but it needed a serious amount of work. I got to know the storeman at Chapman Spooner very well indeed!
