Nice work. Do you have contacts who are helping you out? (I wouldn't like to be paying full price for all that work!)
(PS: You're making me feel guilty about my "restoration" work.)

Hello David
The company that is doing the body work is TR Enterprises. I am very happy with their work as they did the body, chassis and Engine work on my TR6.
I can't weld so I put it in to the hands I trust.
I'm helping out when I can to push the project along.
I also have recently found out that I'm in for an engine rebuild as the cam and followers are damaged just after 45000 miles. The head also needs to be converted to unleaded so they will be doing this aswell.
I will of course be doing all the mechanics. Keep you all posted

A praiseworthy project indeed Lee! I've never done one quite to that level, but my Stag has just come back from having top coat paint and it does look impressive. All I have to do now is refit it all - so I understand what you'll be doing!
Cheers,
Mike.

Hello Chaps
Just got my car back form the people that have built me a roll cage. The rest of the body work can be done now and then painted.
Here are some photos.

Hi Lee,
Loving your work.
Just curious, exactly what is it you are building, road or race car?
Just worried about that cross beam under the steering column, I don't know how tall you are, but that is where my knee usually is!!
Looks good though, keep at it!

Hello Alan
I Have now decided to build a full stage rally car and compete in it. It will be in Historic Stage rallies Group 3 D2. There is loads of regulations to stick to as in the MSA Blue book. The car will be running on 15 inch wheels with 70 profile tyres no less is allowed. The bar across the front is optional but i will see if it doesnt interfier with my legs or the center concel. Loads of regs to go through. As long as it was fitted on the works rally car then it can be on mine. I will still be running a PI. I might give the editor on register mag a ring to see if it can go in it. Build in progress. what do you think?

Sounds like a plan.
Perhaps, on Rally car stuff, you should talk to Ted Taylor on here........ he seems to be the font of all knowledge where these things are concerned?
I don't know enough about competition cars to even give an opinion, but thought you were building a road car!
Perhaps Jonathan Lewis on here could help too, he competes in a PI.......... ad Charles Harrison competes in a MKI, so both of them should be able to steer you in the right direction!
Good luck, can't wait to see it finished. Remember that Colin & Amanda will probably want in on a stand when its finished (before you bend or scratch it!!!)

Re: Mk2 Facelift PI 1975 HFG 610 N
Hello Alan
I thought i was building a road going car but someone suggested doing rallies in it and there was a sead planted. As i used to rally in the 80s in a MK2 escort. But as i was well deep in finacally and gone well beyond no return. Ie £6000. for a concours car. That doesnt even touch my engine Build. So you can see where in going. If you have seen My TR6 then you know what i mean. I will be glad to put it on stand when its finished.
Any comments or tips By Ted or others will be very welcome.
