This is a forum used by ordinary people who may not have a dictionary next to the screen of their computer. I had to copy and paste 'apocryphal' on to google to see it's meaning. As if I didn't already feel insignificant after seeing Jonathon's lovely pi on our stand at WCR40 last year

For the rest of us just substitute the word with 'heresay' and you will get the idea.

Thankyou Jonathan for making me think a little, I will try and drop the word apocryphal in to coversation at some point, once I have mastered it's pronounciation.

Thank you for the compliments re the PI, Colin I will pass them on the the grand old lady herself and see if they encourage her to cease leaving oily calling cards all over the garage floor...

It's when the oily deposits stop that you have to worry Jonathan, unless you have found the leak and sealed it yourself.

I have two incontinent diffs at the moment, but I shall be fixing both in the not too distant future

Possibly but more likely to be a media test car, they love the roads and scenery round there - and it was exactly the same colour (a kind of burnt amber) that I've seen on the cover of a number of mags recently.

There is a chance i may be purchasing an Acclaim as an "everyday car" and the vehicle in question is the top of the range CD trim but its manual, from what im told thats pretty rare as most had the auto option.

The late Frank Ashton bought two pallet loads of "Triumph" bits according to his wife and from what I recall when speaking with Frank they were Acclaim bits.

Well if i do go ahead with the purchase im going to need a new rear bumper. Not 100% certain it'll happen at the moment though
