1255kg (according to our Tech Specs page - is that cheating, or am I meant to know it off by heart?)

1255 kg is the number I was looking for. I got from the tech specs as well, so I think that's a fair answer. Your question then Allen.

just to say, it doesnt have to be triumph specific. And tenuous car-linked questions are acceptable

Hello Allen,
thanks.
Which car manufacturer was, at least in part, responsible for the introduction of the 70 mph speed limit, and why?

Was it when AC cars, when they took an AC Cobra out for a test drive on the public highway and had it up to 140mph on a dual carraigeway/motorway?. Though an official reason was to reduce fuel use because of one of the middle east wars
I know the incident happened about this time and well remember the furore - mind you we young bloods of the time tought it brilliant and the public/press reaction hilarious. A short while before I had been loaned a mates DB6 which I maintained for him, to go and pick up some bits from Malvern for my rally Morgan Plus 4 - and prompltly took that up to an indicated 140mph on the M5 past Tewkesbury.
Ah those were the days

but I won't admit the speed that I had my Legacy Quad Cam estate up to on the M11 late one summer's evening about 3 years ago apart from it being flat out and nearly off the clock. After all I am supposed to be seriusly into road safety ...... but let us oldies relive our youth occasionally.
