I have had a triumph Stag for a couple of years and have just bought a 2000 Mk. 2 to run every day to work. I\'ve done some work myself and had some done so the car is now A1 apart from the wheel arches. All the wheel arches are rusted , some worse than others. This really detracts from what is otherwise a fine car but I am told that to do a \'proper\' job of replacing all the wheel arches is an expensive job.
Does anyone know if there\'s a cheaper way round this- would I be better trying to get hold of a second hand wing for example?
Any help would be much appreciated!!

Hello JP,
the cheapest repair is to weld in repair sections. It is a big job to
replace either a front or a rear wing. What makes the job more involved
is that the wings are double skinned and you will almost
certainly find that the inner wings require repairing.
There is no avoiding the fact, especially if you are paying someone to do the work for you, that it is expensive.
