Probably asked before but how can I tell what carbs I have on my 1977 mk 2 T2000 TC?
I know it should have HS4s, the tags on mine say.. ZX1264F and Z1264R.
Are these correct? If not what are they?
Steve.
Carbs
Re: Carbs
The easiest way to differentiate between HS4's and HS6's is that HS6's have a a 4 stud mounting per carb on the inlet manifold, whereas HS4's only have a 2 stud mounting, which are in a different orientation (10-4 and 20-2 if that makes sense!) relative to Strombergs where the 2 stud mounting is the same angle on both carbs.
Hope that makes some sort of sense!

Re: Carbs
Hello Steve,
those are HS6s, but putting the number you gave into the Burlen website produced no result? I take it the tags are the aluminium ones attached to the float chamber screw.
Looking further in my S.U. parts and spares manual gives the Triumph 2000 1976 on as FZX 1264 F and R?
Any help?
Alec
