Guys,
I think I would be sorely tempted to makeup a bolted wooden structure/bed to sit the shell on. As it's a bare shell, it could be ratchet strapped onto the bed for ease. Also, pneumatic wheelbarrow style wheel assemblies are available,,,and are surprisingly cheap---see Fleabay. A bit of conduit or heating pipe for axles, front steer one mounted like a cart, off we go!!
Donald, hope you are enjoying Egypt.I worked there ,stayed and worked in Giza, for the Chloride factory. Spent some time in Cairo looking for parts/material  .Hope you're keeping your hand on your wallet.  Good Luck!.

The OP has been in contact, and may have the opportunity of a complete Mk1 as a possible donor. In the circumstances, I think that would be the ideal scenario as the required parts would be available, plus all the other 'bits and bobs' that are always forgotten about until needed!

Oh yes, ideal! If he is really getting a bare shell, then there will be loads of bits and pieces that will hard to find.

Cheers,
Mike.

That's a good shout boys, by far the easiest and most cost effective/hassle free way of getting things "moving"
Best of luck Donald!!

Thanks all. I have sourced a nearly complete Mk1 2000 manual non-overdrive so all of the bits I need should be present.

The deal with the shell looks to have fallen through but at least I have a starting point.
