Engine front plate
Doing a P.A.S conversion on my MK1 2000 , I already have a lot of the parts however the front plate would be a bonus , I know the original can be modified to work however if anybody can help or offer any advice then that would be great. Thanks all Adrian

did this conversion on my dads mk11 earlier this year, or was it last year? can't remember....
However we didn't change the front plate, just drilled a hole in the front leg and used a lower mounting stud on the pump and fabricated a bracket from 3mm steel plate.

That's made my mind up on what I shall do , thanks for your advice , could do with a front pulley now , will check out the Triumph Parts Specialists and see if any will sell them separately

What you need is a double pulley but this is made up of 2 bits, the original (single) pulley and the PAS one. They are held together by the big bolt with the torque transmitted by 2 dowel pins.
The point of this is that you may only have to get the front pulley which can go in place of the front block where the fan is mounted. Mind you, you may then have to think about the fan mounting....
Good luck with the conversion. I have done it in the past, including changing the front engine plate, and it's not too bad.

I had forgotten that the fan is on the crank pulley , however an electric fan is an easy option as most modern cars go this route now.
The engine is out and the front plate is off at the moment , I have the pump rear mount but not the front one yet , I thought once the pump is in place with the front pulley temporally fitted I can then work on the plate doing the mods to that , any Ideas , help and advice would be much appreciated , thanks again.

rimmers sale shows a Pas pulley for peanuts ,
but think it says press on .
I got all my kit from CW , and a front plate at rimmers, as trying to modify the orig
with limited space didnt seem a good option at the time
you will need the large TRE and steering arms to suit.
