Hi everyone.. Anyone out there successfully fitted a set of TR6 steels to their car. I know I\'ve seen pictures of a Mk1 with them fitted, but wondered if there were any issues with clearance etc going down this route.
Regards
Gavin

Okay, finally got my set of TR6 steels.... nice condition straight condition although a little rusty in places and the paint is a little tired, but you cant complain for £36.
Anyway trial fitted one to the car and there dont appear to be any clearance or fitment issues despite what I\'ve read elsewhere in other forums (this is a Mk2 I\'m fitting them to).
The thing I\'m pondering over now is exactly what colour to go for when I repaint, so I thought I\'d ask your thoughts. Currently they are painted silver, but I\'m stripping them back to bare metal, then treating all the rusty areas with bilt hamber deox gel.
The car is white, and I have a complete set of stainless steel trims as well.
Initially I thought I might repaint them in silver, but I\'d also been considering black, or even red.
What does everyone else think?
Regards
Gavin

Yeah could\'nt quite believe it myself. I wasn\'t seriously bidding... just put in a token bid of £40, and after the auction ended suddenly realised I\'d won it and had to work out how I was going to get them down from Manchester! Thats ebay for you!
Anyway will probably do a bit more refurb work tonight after the kids are in bed!

(BTW they dont look nearly as good as they do in the picture, but they not actually too bad!)
