Scrap gearbox
WANTED. I need a gearbox rear adapter plate / to A type o/d. After a successful dummy run ( aligning up the second, rearmost set of splines - no springs ) then trying several times to bolt the thing together, I decided it needed a bit more force ! and broke the adapter plate. The correct method would have been to remove it ( again ) and make sure the pump didn't snag on the oval cam. My late A type has 8 return springs ( hence dimples ). Did other overdrives only have 4 ?

2.5PI Stag and TR is eight spring unit
