Certainly rather less than the 160bhp quoted for the MkVII Jaguar, albeit from an engine of not much more than half the capacity - in fairness, however, no idea as to how heavy the Bristol might have been relative to the Jaguar. In the (possibly rather more sporting) tune sold to AC, I believe an output of ca 125bhp was claimed, which is not too far off that supposedly offered by the larger (2.6-litre) and more sophisticated LB6 engine in the original Aston DB2/4. Either sporting drivers in those days made do with less, or (brake) horses just ain't what they used to be...
