MK2 in Retro Cars Magazine
Anyone seen the latest issue of Retro Cars?
Very nice 200 BHP MK2 2000 is featured, only fault with article is that it dosen't go "in depth" on how to get that level of HP from a 2 litre engine.
And they (the magazine) can't belive that anyone would use a 30+ year old car everyday or tour Europe with it!

Re: MK2 in Retro Cars Magazine
read it yesterday, looks a very nice car.
I am suprised its running su's unless they have been modified.
I wouldn't mind a look at the exhaust manifold either, copy of a Gareth Thomas design should really gove it some pep!

Belongs to a well known Register (and CT!) member Nigel Gair.
It is running HS6 and the exhaust manifold is a proper Chris Witor jobbie.
Revs to about 7000rpm and sounds fantastic.......... done the CT RBRR every year for about 20 years now I think!
Stunning car, and one of the quickest about!

Re: MK2 in Retro Cars Magazine
So the CW manifold works well? Have heard some negative feedback about some of the manifold designs and didn't know which design the CW used, so was weary of buying one.
It's going onto my Christmas list right now!

Hi. I'm very interested in this car. Are you able to tell me anything else about it?Alan Chatterton wrote:Belongs to a well known Register (and CT!) member Nigel Gair.

Not really.............. I haven't seen the article, but I'm guessing that the article says all there is to say?
