A recent exercise yielded the following generic motor factor parts that fit our PI vehicles well.
FRAM fuel filter C1191PL is a direct replacement for the PI, cost to me was £1.38 each!
FRAM oil filter PH4990B for spin-on adaptors is a good compromise between a stubby and long filter - ideal if you have clearance problems. The cost was £3.04.
Both are parts fitted as standard to 98 Ford Mondeo 2.0 diesels.
