Wind noise

#1 Post by Ltriumph » Thu May 26, 2022 8:40 am

Hi - probably discussed previously but couldn't find a post. Have a lot of wind noise. Appears to be from a gap at the top of both front doors as there are gaps (used a torch). Any ideas how to reduce the noise? Not sure new rubbers would do a lot.

Hello Ltriumph,

you have correctly identified the cause. If you can slacken the door and readjust it so the gap is eliminated, that is the easiest soultion. If that then gives too bad an alignment problem relative to the body, then the frame will need bending, to suit the aperture. I would suggest, if going that route using ratchet straps and a block of wood to keep the door ajar. Wind the windows right down while doing it.

Check the rubbers first.

I had a similar issue and changing the rubbers cured the wind noise.
