I have just bought a rollover jig to do some serious work on a '73 Mk2 Saloon. Has anyone that has rolled one of these happened to make a note of the pivot height to get the center of gravity somewhere near, and save me a bit of trial and error. Doors, bonnet and boot lid all coming off, so just the shell.

Re: Rotisserie/Rollover Jig
If you contact Tinsmith_Skippy on here (RossTaylor), he is nearing the conclusion of his third PI restoration, and I am certain he has a roll over jig, so he may be able to advise you.

Re: Rotisserie/Rollover Jig
Thanks Johnny, I did see mention in his post Barn Find and tried to send a message. I don't think it went through and I couldn't view the images on his post. I will try again.

Hello Firewatcher,
the jig I used mounted on the bumper mounts front and rear with additional support to the bonnet hinge mounting at the front.
The front axis point was 10" up from the bumper and 8.5" from the rear. While not perfect it was quite manageable. If you can make your mounting with some alternative attachments that would help?
I thought I had some pictures but I can't find them.

Re: Rotisserie/Rollover Jig
Thanks Alec,
Good to have something to go on rather than pure guesswork. Slightly above that Tinsmith_Skippy measured, but there is some adjustment on the vertical arms of the jig I have just picked up which will give me a few inches either way.
Thanks again,
Pete

Re: Rotisserie/Rollover Jig
I have recently bought a jig for my Mk2. The jig is now assembled but the shell isn't on it - yet! Mine has the height at each end adjustable so your figures Alec will be very useful!
Mine came as a 'kit' that needed some welding and includes castors so it can be pushed about - in theory anyway.
Firewatcher, I shall be very interested to see how you get on with yours.
Cheers,
Mike.

Re: Rotisserie/Rollover Jig
Hello Mike,
mine is on casters and is easily moved around. A bare shell is not that heavy.
