Hello Forkie,

if I experience brakes sticking on, I crack the bleed nipple to see if there is any change.
If that frees the wheel then it is a hydraulic problem with the return of fluid. This should affect all four wheels, although a split system may give slightly different results.

Hi Alec, thanks for that tip - so just tried that on the O/S/F - no difference. Before i did that however i did jack up O/S/R just to see and although it does not appear to rubbing it was a tad hard to tell as it is turning the prop. Pads out next i think, back the pistons home to both fronts, fit this second hand servo valve and check it all over again.

Remove pads from one calliper, fit a spacer(wood or soft metal) to one side, to keep that piston in place. Pump the pedal a few times keeping an eye on the other piston movement after two or three strokes. With the piston out about12/15 mm, spray it with WD40 ,tear a strip of cloth about 25 mm wide, soak it in WD,and feed it around the piston. You can then clean up the piston with the same action as you would towel off your back, if you get what I mean.Push the piston back in and repeat until spotless and shiny.Always keep your eye on fluid level in case it overflows with the piston being right home.Repeat for other piston, then wash all down with brake and clutch cleaner before refitting the pads.If you don't have suitable linen cloth, soak some thick "hairy twine/string" as it will do the same job. This has worked for me since the beginning of time!
Good Luck!
