Replace heater control cable MKII 2000

Does anybody have instructions on how to replace the heater control cable. I believe this had the number 80-10-01, I can only find 80-10-06 in my 1973 Stag manual. My saloon is a very late one and it does not mtach up. I am trying to do it in situ. So far with little sucess.
