Hi Geoff,
Are you a member of the Triumph 2000 Register ? It's just that the colour of your username suggests that you aren't.
Depending on where you live, I can put you in touch with the nearest Local Group Organiser in your area; they can no doubt give you a better insight of the activities at our Nationals and you can meet like minded Triumph owners. You will find write ups and photos of previous Nationals in old SiXAppeals.
If you are a member of the Register, then you need admin to update your user name to orange to indicate this!
On the subject of Nationals - I have been to every one since 1987 - the last one in Lincolnshire was my 31st! They are very family orientated, and the format of our Nationals now is based on a week long event on a caravan site / park, whereas some other clubs utilise a 'showground' over a weekend, which in my opinion doesn't really have the same family facilities and welcoming / friendly atmosphere. I look forward to it every year, and even if it was on the end of the earth, I would tow my caravan to it with the Triumph - without question!
My wife has no interest whatsoever in my Triumphs, and whilst she doesn't attend every year, the ones she has been to, she thoroughly enjoys. Unfortunately, she's not for sleeping in a 14' caravan - she prefers more luxurious accommodation, but statics are usually available these days at Nationals, but get snapped up quickly. Each to their own, but I like my little tourer!
In my opinion, your wife / family will enjoy themselves, but there's only one way to find out......

Have now managed to sort out my forum status to show I am now a member.

If there are any local groups in my area that would be fantastic

cheers

Geoff

All the Regional areas and contact details are shown in SIXAppeal - the next issue will be out at the beginning of February.
I would suggest contacting a Group Leader nearest to your location using the details in the magazine - they were all updated early last year with details confirmed by each Group Leader.
If you have problems contacting anyone, could you please let me know?
The whole idea of having this list is so that old and new members alike have a point of contact to get involved with the Register. If Group Leaders are not contactable for this information, their status needs reviewing as a point of contact.

Hi John

Have read the current SIXAppeal cover to cover and there is not a list of Regional areas or any contact details,

Hi Geoff,
You are right - there isn't a Local Groups list in the February 2018 SIXappeal.
I have checked the previous issue in December last year and there is a complete list on pages 38 and 39.
If you do not have this copy, either send me a PM with your email address, and I will forward you a copy of the Local Groups list, or....alternatively,
Go on the Triumph 2000 Register website, and and open ''THE CLUB' green box at the top of the page, this will give you several options . Click on Local Groups, and it will open a map which can be enlarged, and by clicking on the relevant boxes in the areas near to you, the details about the Groups with contact numbers should be available to you.
Hope this helps.
John.

Talking to Sharon yesterday it would appear that we have over 50 Triumphs booked for the National now.
Hope you are all ready.....or nearly ready and have saved your pennies for Ice cream.
Only 56 sleeps to go now.....woohoo!

Only 56 sleeps left? That's going to come very quickly - I'm already burning the midnight oil to get the White PI ready for its trip to Paignton!!! And there are a lot more jobs needed doing on it than I originally envisaged, so could it end up being Plan B instead - the Sienna PI?

I'll have to paint 'Johnnydogs Flyimg Circus' on the side of the caravan, so I can pretend to be a showman, and then I could tow the caravan as well behind the car trailer!!!! :D :D :D .
