Does anyone know where I can get the hose from the heater to the drivers eyeball vent?

I no doubt will have a good used one.
I will check today and get back to you.
Do you know the approximate length (just in case I haven't labelled the ones I have?)

Thanks Johnnydog.

No idea of the length, will try and get out to measure tomorrow (peeing down today).

I assume it runs behind the instruments and not over..........

I even managed to reconnect the speedo drive (virtually) first time and it is working! Not a job I like as there is little play in the cable and requires a bit of wrist acrobatics.

(When I got the car is was not properly connected and slipping, underreading the speed.)

I sometimes find it easier to disconnect the speedo cable at the gearbox end, and then feed it up a couple of inches through the hole in the transmission tunnel, connect it at the top with the extra cable available, and then pull it back down to reconnect it at the gearbox. This also avoids any damage to the speedo wood surround (which you tend to rest on top of the steering column binnacle) whilst fighting to connect the piece at the top.
It is also sometimes held in place by the metal tabs on the bodywork, which when released give a bit if extra free play.
