Hello from East Yorkshire

Hello,

I just thought I'd introduce myself.

Although I've only just joined this forum I've always owned a 'big' Triumph since I was eighteen which is over forty years ago and was previously a member of the Register.

My first car was a Mk1 2000 which was replaced with a Mk2 2.5pi in 1981 which I still have although it's unlikely to ever be on the road again!

In the late nineties I bought another 2.5 pi (annoyingly converted to carbs) and drove it for a year as a second car before taking it off the road to attend to rusty sills. Twenty years later I'm just getting round to sorting the usual corroded sills and front and back arches although to be fair it's not too bad. I also intend to return it to petrol injection and convert to power steering. Amazingly this car still starts on the LRP fuel that I filled it up with in December 2000 although it does smell a bit!

Cheers

Binny

Hi Binny,
Welcome!
It sounds like you have a bit of work to do on the car, although I'm sure it will be worth the effort you intend to put in to it to get it repaired.
PI's are one of the more desirable models currently, and I'm certain you will get plenty of pointers on here regarding any work you intend to do. There are also some good topics on here regarding major restoration work done to several PI's by Tinsmith_Skippy, which are very interesting and informative reads.
Let us know how you get on.
