Hi everyone and thanks Mike for letting me in.
My name is Simon, and I now have a (mainly) shiny LHD 2.5PI in my garage which has been stood for 20 years, so I am going to be taking my time in getting it back on the road.
I'm impressed by how solid these cars seem to be (with the exception of the sill & lower wheel arches on the drivers side which I think are going to be my biggest challenge....).
I'm also a Stag owner - I recognise a few usernames from the SOC so hello again!
Simon

Hi Simon,
Hello and welcome to the Forum! I'm sure you will find a wealth of information here and within the Triumph 2000 Register! A LHD drive 2.5 PI sounds very interesting - especially as a friend of mine and a recent new member of the Register who lives near Manchester has also recently bought a LHD 2.5PI. I've not seen it as yet, but apparantly it's very solid, with just a degree of tidying up needed.
It's probably a slightly better climate than the UK that has help them survive!

Hi Simon,
Rightly said - these cars are solid, even with a little bit of TLC that may be required!! They are great cars, look good, and sound good out on the road. Best of luck with your plans!!!!

Re: Quick introduction
Thanks for the welcome. So far it’s been nice and easy to work on, stripping down the brakes and other bits & pieces and tidying up the engine bay. Today was cleaning up and re-spraying the servo vacuum tank. It’s great when every little task gives a small improvement!
