Dad and I more or less gave up on ever getting our hands on a mk1 Pi which was always our preferred car but settled for the mk2. Finally an elusive mk1 Pi opportunity presented itself

That really doesn't look too bad!

Re: Last Slice of Pi
Hello Charles how are you? Belated happy new year to you. Dad and i decided when the first opportunity arises to purchase a mk1 Pi we would go for. This would normally a buyers cardinal sin, but luckily enough this was the first we've ever had the chance to purchase.
So I'm carefully considering the options, the mk1 wings are definitely more tricky to replace than the mk2. It seems the headlight mounting panel restricts the access to the joining seams. i have 2 wings ready to go just got to have some dutch courage and go for it!
Stripped down bag and tagged and off to the media blasters!

Re: Mk1 Pi Restoration
Surprising when you dig little deeper I thought the NS inner was saveable. I’ve learnt replacing a wing on a mk1 is to be not undertaken lightly they are awkward and time consuming.
I’ve been speaking to your welding man recently. Really nice fella!
Merry Christmas and Happy New year to you and family.
Re: Mk1 Pi Restoration
Are we having bets on whether the Mk1 PI saloon or the Mk1 PI estate is finished first....?Tinsmith_Skippy wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2019 1:33 pmI’ve been speaking to your welding man recently. Really nice fella!
