Hi Alec.
Sounds interesting :) ,does that mean cable enters cabin as soon as possible,and then runs under the carpet,then on to the shelf.
cant quite visualise where the hole would be ,without getting under the car,which I have had to lower,in order to push back into garage.Certainly this might also avoid the clip behind and above the exhaust.

Hello Bill,

yes, straight out of the gearbox into the inside of the car then run under the carpet to the speedometer. I've done this on two cars now.
