Hi Guys - As Charles said, I bought the Blue Mk1 from Milestones last year.
I was happy with the price and due to lockdown I bought sight unseen. The photos were an accurate reflection of the car.
If I was nitpicking I'd say the fact the video of the car stopped short of showing me the modifications to the dash was annoying, but they were described so it was hardly a surprise.
I was also offered the option of rejecting the car when delivered if I wasn't happy.
As had been said - the price was non negotiable. I accepted I was paying more buying through a dealer.
Given I was buying a 55 year old car I always expect the car to be worse than photos suggest! I sold a ratty Mk2 Escort some years ago and was so embarrassed on how good it looked in the photos I kept stressing to people it was much worse than it looked!
Sounds like original poster did the right thing in viewing the car, and if you're not happy then walk away!
