Triumph MG Show

#1 Post by Baller » Fri Jan 22, 2016 9:31 pm

The show at the N A C on the 21st of next month. I am thinking about driving up from Cornwall and just wondered just how big the show is and what the auto jumble is like. I'm restoring a mk1 2000 and it would be nice to see a few that are in good shape and used as they should be.

It's a good show, with plenty of autojumble, although dedicated marque shows tend to put the prices of up a little as the autojumblers obviously know what vehicle the parts are for, whereas a general autojumble has stands where the sellers haven't a clue, which obviously is to the buyers advantage (if they know the parts and can identify them). The Register always has a good stand (it was one of the best last year) with a fine selection of cars on display (thanks to Colin and Amanda Radford for always getting it together!). Not quite as good (in my opinion) now it's a combined show, but it means the numbers attending are up and if it keeps the show going, then all for the better.
Worth the trip, I would definitely argue!

Always a good show with lots of bits to look at. Since it's combined with MG, it makes it all a bit harder (or maybe "more challenging"!) to find the Triumph bits as the stalls are not organised along Marque lines.

The Register stand is always good and a good meeting point.

We've even delayed a trip to France by a week to be able to go this year!

Cheers,
Mike.
