I need a new 2.5 Engine for my mk2. If you have one or know of one please let me know

Known good 2500S engine with head off to inspect bores and reworked head available near here in Kent. He wants £800 but is a good known quantity. I will PM you his number if you are interested. Why not pull your engine apart and see what the problem is first! Assuming it is its correct MG prefix lump.

Depending whether you want a 2.5 PI (MG) engine or a 2500 (MM), I have a good 2500 (MM) engine complete with its original 219016 cylinder head (they are extremely sellable on their own) still mated to its gearbox but is easily separable. It will be open to offers around £500 (without the gearbox) and is in Lancashire.
