The Triumph 2000/2500/2.5 Register Forum

Some time ago on this forum I posted concerning the car I had bought as a 2500 and found it had a 2000 engine. I bought a 2500 engine and completely rebuilt it and fitted it so now have the "original" spare.
It was no trouble to me, no smoke or knocks and did not leak oil. A slow water loss was discovered to be a leaky core plug when I removed it so they all need replacing. It just felt more lethargic than I expected which was clearly the case as it was only 2000cc.
I have no idea what it is worth but would like to see about £250.
It will need strong men to collect it as I have never dealt with such a heavy engine.

Just remembered that I also have a spare 2000 sump and a set of pushrods too !
