Hopefully a quick question, are the pistons inside an early Mk1 calliper the same as in the wider late Mk1/Mk2 calliper?
One of the fronts callipers is a little sticky so I was thinking it would be sensible to put new seals in (pretty sure the seals are the same) and stainless pistons in if they are the same as Mk2 ones (i.e. cheap!!).

Re: Mk1 Brake caliper
I think the seals are the same, but do not know whether the pistons are not as long in the earlier caliper.

Re: Mk1 Brake caliper
The relevant early Triumph parts book only gives the complete caliper part number, and does not detail the individual components.
Chris Witor only lists the one caliper piston - remanufactured in stainless, which suggests the same piston is fitted in all models. Usually, if there is a variation of application of certain components within the models, he usually lists the different model application on his website.
If in any doubt, he is only a phone call away...
