I\'ve got these two hubcaps. They were with a pair of TR-250 hubcaps,
which they looked very similar except the TRs were larger in diameter.

I found a picture of a 2500 PI with very similar looking hubcaps, but as
far as I know these were never imported to the States (although here in
Portland, Oregon there are some Brit car fanatics so you never know what
you\'ll see). In fact my brother had a 2000 sedan for a while.

Would any 2500 owners be able to positively identify these hubcaps?

Thanks!

Help identify hubcaps

Hello Dave,
they do not look like Triumph hub caps at all, in fact I can\'t think of any British car they might come off, as they have five (false) nuts, and the only five stud British car of the era I can think of is a Jaguar and they didn\'t use Rostyles. Possible on second thoughts, as a long shot, Jensen?
Any one else?
Alec
Like I said, they look just like TR-250 hubcaps (I think the same were
used on the TR5s) and yes, those had 5 nuts on the cap and 4 studs
underneath.

Hi Dave
The wheel trims could be off any of the following, PI, Stag, GT6 MK2 or Vitesse mk2 although there are some differences in the width of the mounting ring to allow for different width wheels. I cannot see in the picture but Stag ones have elongated valve holes to fit on the 14 inch wheels. Another diference is the lack of center badge fixing hole. Some cars had badges, PI\'s and Stags I think.
I think most of these cars were fitted with different style trims for some markets so perhaps they have come from England and possably been mistaken for TR5 or early TR6 trims. The bigger ones are now quite rare in the UK , or they were when I was looking for some for my 2000 saloon.
