Has anyone had anyone had any experience with these or similar? Intended use on a HS6 2500TC/S type set up, to replace the air collector & filter housing. I've read good reports about their ignition equipment, but very little about these.

I used have a pair of similar air filters on 1 1/2" SU's on a tuned Mini Cooper S in the late 70's, only because there wasn't enough room for the standard airbox as they were larger than standard carbs.
Worked ok, weren't particularly noisier than the standard setup on hard acceleration (I used to drive the Cooper S a bit harder back then than I do the Triumphs these days!) , and the foam filter was easy to clean although it had to dry after being washed!
Not sure they would look 'right' on a Triumph, but then I like originality, whereas your car has tasteful mods Dave so that shouldn't be a problem.

Just looking for options John, in case those chuffin' air collector problems I had come back again
I'd settle for a NOS/good air collector if one was available

I fitted K&N"S on my TC many years ago. A bit dearer than yours but can be washed if necessary.

Would you need to put richer needles in with those filters?

Just curious as I am intending to rebuild a 2500 engine to go in my 2000, and have a pair of HS6s ready to be rebuilt......

My experience of this type of filter is that they work well until the engine really warms up in which case you then get very hot air into the carbs. The whole point of getting air from the front of the car is that it will be cool.
I built some for my MG Midget (HS4's) and she goes well until warmed up then the power drops to below what you get from the standard airbox and cheap paper element filters.
I then rebuilt the airbox to increase the intake hose diameter 50% and this resulted in a substantial power increase at all temperatures. Still using the original paper filters. See pics Somebody did a comparison test years ago and found that a particular makers claims for power increases were unfounded.
I only use them for show and shine events now.
