not a performance mod, but has anybody fitted air to a MK1?

Compressor fit as per photo. Fairly easy to modify (you need an extra pulley and to put the battery tray on a diet with consequently smaller battery.)

I have never seen a Mk1 with air con integrated into the fresh air vents , most converted cars over here have a unit in place of the passenger parcel shelf

Battery won't be a problem as mine is already in the boot, on my saab the air con is part of the heater unit whereas, on my range rover the air is a separate unit with a second set of vents. I shall have to have a look around a breakers yard and get an idea what is available.
