My car spills fuel when 'spirited' driving occurs from the petrol cap. I can't seem to find a specific Mk2 item anywhere - what's the best alternative with an appropriate seal and without a vent that I can purchase????
Thanks!

Can't speak for anyone else, but I've never had a problem with the standard cap, even on the rare occasions the tank was full

Re: Fuel Cap
Like Dave, I have the standard filler cap fitted to my Triumphs, and if they had a locking cap when I got them, I replaced it with an original twist fit cap. I don't recall any fuel spillage on mine, but equally, I rarely brim them. As long as the seal is good, and there is a noticeable tension when twisting the cap on, I think they are best you will get.
But having said that, when our cars were in service as Traffic police vehicles, they were renown for fuel spillage with the original cap, hence why Lancashire Constabulary left the rear nearside wing unpainted when they were spraying the bottom half of the cars with the Dayglo orange paint in preparation for service, as good old 4* star fuel took the Dayglo paint straight off!
