Re: Service notes & website question
The service notes are available in both paper and electronic format (CD Rom) via Malcolm and Jan Stewart - "regalia at triumph2000register dot co dot uk". There is a members area on the forum (not that there's much on there at the moment) you need to get an admin to change upgrade you. There is a fo...

Re: Mk1 parts wanted
If you look in the other post his Mk1 is a "C" reg pre-facelift.
Looking it up on the DVLA site it was registered March '65 so probably the early type.

Re: Halogen conversion kits
Mk1 headlamp wiring also runs behind the RH inner wing (in fact most of the wiring runs that way as the fuse box is located at the front of the RH inner wing).

Re: Gearbox swap
Depends whether your new box is an A type or J type. The longer type studs and spacers for the gearbox cross member are definitely required for a J type o/d (not sure about auto boxes as I've never has one!). It's made from 2 stud with a bit of plate tacked between so as Alec says you could easily m...

Re: Rocker shaft
Dave builds engines so he's not a parts supplier in quite the same sense as Rimmers or Chris Witor, but does have a stock of some parts including some NOS and parts he's had batches of made. If you need something there's certainly no harm in asking, if he doesn't have something I'm sure he can advis...

"Triumphix-uk" is our Dave Harvey so would suggest that's the superior product.

Re: Door catch strap
I think it's the rears that are handed? Plus I think they are slightly different on Mk1 versus Mk2 too? (not hooked at the end?) - So that would be 6 different types.......... Anyway, they're all a pretty bad design, they angle at the bottom is too sharp and they fatigue and break off. I'm sure it m...

Re: Hand built racer
It interests me.
Looks almost comparable to Paul Newman's 'Le Taxi' in terms of engineering and specification although built to different rules.
Would love to see more pictures of how it's put together.

Re: Wanted, a driver's door mirror MK2 1973
There's lots of different mirrors about. TEX Automotive are quite common (and still available new), but unfortunately don't look like the ones on the car next to the pimento one on the front of six appeal (which looks damson to me). I reckon the mirror in question could be a Wingard or a Desmo possi...
